SAMIAN is an insurance Managing General Agency specialising in risk transfer solutions for a broad range of Intellectual Property risks.  It is a trading division of Safeonline LLP, an independent Lloyd's broker.

Our management team is one of the most experienced talent pools in the intellectual property insurance arena, with key members providing enforcement and infringement liability solutions to the sector since 1988.  The management team have acted in underwriting, claims management or client advisory roles in the USA, European and Australasian markets.

Combining this market leading expertise with the best technologies available allows us to deliver incomparable underwriting solutions in a fast, efficient and user friendly environment, to provide market leading coverage and service.

We operate internationally via intermediaries to deliver our products to all corners of the world, with key markets being the USA, Europe, and Australasia.  We focus on the Small & Medium Enterprise sector, although we can and do work with multi-national, billion dollar companies.

SAMIAN was founded in 2007, by Ian Lewis and Sam Bobo, who both have extensive experience in insuring intellectual property exposures.  In April 2010, SAMIAN was aquired by Safeonline LLP and operates as a trading division.
